Lamar Odom Ordered To Pay His Ex Liza Morales Nearly $400K Child Support Payments (Update)

Published

on

TSR Updatez: A judge just handed Lamar Odom a large financial blow after ordering the former NBA star to pay his ex nearly $400,000 as he hasn’t paid a cent of child support in more than a year.

In court docs that were obtained by TMZ, a New York Judge ruled Lam Lam stopped making payments to his ex, Liza Morales, in June of last year even though a 2015 settlement agreement required him to pay thousands of dollars per month to her to help out with their two kids.

The court ordered Lamar to pay Morales a total of $380,549, which included $91,220 in outstanding child support, $88,117 in missed rent, $161,305 for their children’s college funds and expenses, and nearly $40,000 for her legal fees and expenses.

It looked like things were headed this way for Lamar after the judge in his case last month slammed him for his current publicity stunts.

The judge seemed to be upset that Lamar had time to entertain celebrity boxing matches–in reference to his recent fight with former pop star Aaron Carter–but still hadn’t paid his child support.

During the virtual hearing, Judge Cooper firmly stated, “If Mr. Odom is in good enough shape to participate in a boxing match, he’s certainly in good enough shape to abide by his obligations to support his children as set forth in the settlement agreement. I was disappointed that payments ceased.” When asked by the judge regarding Lamar Odom’s current financial stability, Liza Morales said he definitely is not hurting for money. “He is definitely making income. He just got a check for that boxing match. He is doing a lot of things regarding his brand. He has a CBD company that he works with,” she said.

Morales had sued Lamar back in May, claiming he missed all the payments he agreed to make since June 2020.

In the court’s ruling, the judge also noted Lamar did not show up for a key hearing in the case in June “despite due notice.”

We’ll keep you posted on any updates.

15 Marvel Actors Who Demanded Changes To Characters

Published

on

I’m just grateful Feige let Chris Hemsworth make Thor funny.

These days, it feels like just about every movie or TV show is based on a book, news story, or other piece of media that already exists — especially comic books. However, what makes all of these adaptations and “based on” productions interesting is the way they reimagine familiar characters.

Of course, the writers and directors play a hand in reinventing a character, but the actor playing them also has a huge role. Often, an actor comes up with new lines during filming, offers a better idea for their character’s overall arc, or sees more potential in them than anyone else did.

Here are 15 Marvel actors who asked for changes to their characters and got them.

1.

In 2018, Elizabeth Olsen expressed the desire to change her Scarlet Witch costume so that “it would just not be a cleavage corset.”

Marvel Studios / Via youtube.com

She told Elle, “It’s funny because sometimes I look around and I’m just like — wow, I’m the only one who has cleavage, and that’s a constant joke because they haven’t really evolved my superhero costume that much.”

A few years later, she got to have a hand in designing her new costume for WandaVision, and her feedback on the team’s initial concept shaped the final design.

Marvel Studios / Disney+ / Via youtube.com

Director Matt Shakman told Entertainment Tonight, “She knows what she has to do better than anybody, having done this for years now.”

2.

Initially, The Avengers director Joss Whedon wanted “to separate the characters from their support systems in order to create the isolation you need for a team” — which included separating Tony Stark from Pepper Potts.

However, Robert Downey Jr. “pushed hard” for his character’s love interest to be included because “he didn’t want to be sort of, crazy alone guy, he wanted to be crazy in-a-relationship guy.”

Marvel Studios / Via youtube.com

“He really thought Gwyneth [Paltrow] would bring something great to the table, and we all thought so as well, but he was the one who convinced her to come and do it,” Whedon told the LA Times.

3.

After playing Thor in two solo movies and two ensemble movies, Chris Hemsworth was “frustrated and bored,” so he met with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and told him that the god of thunder’s next movie needed to “be funnier” and “be unpredictable.”

Marvel Studios / Via youtube.com

Hemsworth told Vanity Fair that he told Feige, “Tonally, we’ve just got to wipe the table again.”

Feigi listened and agreed, and — with Marvel Studios’ separation from Marvel Entertainment allowing for more creative freedom — he allowed director Taika Waititi to treat Thor: Ragnarok like a comedy.

Marvel Studios / Via youtube.com

Waititi told Entertainment Weekly, “A lot of what we’re doing with the film is, in a way, kind of dismantling and destroying the old idea and rebuilding it in a new way that’s fresh. Everyone’s got a slightly new take on their characters, so in that way, it feels like [this is] the first Thor.”

4.

Tessa Thompson wanted to confirm that Valkyrie is bisexual on screen in Thor: Ragnarok. She successfully pitched the idea to Waititi and convinced him to film a scene where a woman walks out of Valkyrie’s room.

Unfortunately, the scene was cut, even though Waititi fought to keep it in as long as he could. Regardless, Thompson was intentional about playing Valkyrie as a bi woman.

Marvel Studios / Via youtube.com

She told Rolling Stone, “There were things that we talked about that we allowed to exist in the characterization, but maybe not be explicit in the film. … There’s a great shot of me falling back from one of my sisters who’s just been slain. In my mind, that was my lover.”

She also told Variety, “In the canon, [Valkyrie] is bisexual. You see her with women and men, so that was my intention in playing her. Obviously, at the forefront of most of these stories is not typically their romantic life. They have big stakes, like saving the world, so that tends to sort of trump.”

However, Thompson confirmed that finding her queen will be Valkyrie’s “first order of business” in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.

5.

The first time Scarlett Johansson saw her Black Widow costume for Iron Man 2, she “had a freak-out moment that lasted about half a day” because of how form-fitting it was.

Marvel Studios / Via youtube.com

She told Sci Fi Movie Page, “Then I said, ‘Okay, time to suck it up’ and just went full force into getting in shape to wear the costume and perform the physical action so it looked just right.”

She also told Inside the Actors Studio, “Who wants to get into something like that? You just think, ‘Oh God, really?’ Couldn’t it have some sort of peplum skirt or something like that? This thing is so, ‘There you are.'”

“After Iron Man to going into Avengers, there’s been an evolution of her look. I think part of that is just gaining the trust of the executives at Marvel and kind of sitting in the character and just being able to make decisions for her,” Johansson told Fatherly.

For the character’s final film, Black Widow costume designer Jany Temime gave her suit a rubber base and an elastic seam allowance, and Johansson called it “the most comfortable outfit.”

6.

After X2, Halle Berry said she would only return to the X-Men franchise if the script gave Storm “more to do.”

20th Century Fox / Via youtube.com

On her personal website, she said, “If they have, in fact, written her closer to the comic book, then I’m in. If not, then I’m out. I hope I’m in though. I love Storm and really want to be a part of the last film.”

She also wanted Storm to be more like her comic book counterpart because fans “would really accost [her] on the street and be vocally angry” that Storm didn’t fly with her cape or fight much.

20th Century Fox / Via youtube.com

Berry told Movieweb, “They would like attack me. So I then internalized that and I would go to the studio, ‘I wanna fly with my cape!’  And they’d be like, ‘Well Halle, you’re nuts.'”

So, she would tell the studio, “This is the feedback I’m getting. I think Storm does a little bit more in the comic book, and the fans aren’t happy. It’s not about me having more, but if I’m gonna be on for 10 minutes, can I say something important for 10 minutes instead of ‘Where’s the plane?'”

Thanks to Berry, Storm played a more central role in X-Men: The Last Stand.

7.

After Daredevil was canceled, Vincent D’Onofrio wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. He told ScreenRant, “I so badly want to play that character again. I love that character. I just have to wait for Marvel to ask me.”

Marvel Studios / Netflix / Via youtube.com

He continued, “I think it’s very clear that I would, and the fans know that I would jump at the chance to play again. I just need to be asked.”

While planning Hawkeye a few years later, Marvel needed “a really big threat, like something that…would make Eleanor Bishop shake in her boots and Hawkeye…get a little bit afraid,” so Feige threw out the idea — “What if this could be Kingpin?”

“[Feige called and] said ‘I want to bring you into the MCU,’ and I’m not gonna say no to that,” D’Onofrio said in the Hawkeye episode of Marvel Studios: Assembled.

8.

When Mickey Rourke met with Feige and director Jon Favreau about playing Ivan Vanko/Whiplash in Iron Man 2, he had a trio of demands for his character — his hair in a bun, a Russian accent, and a bird.

All three of his demands were met, and Downey reportedly took a pay cut so the filmmakers could meet Rourke’s quota.

Marvel Studios / Via youtube.com

However, a lot of the character development that Rourke worked on with Favreau ended up being cut from the final film, which upset the actor.

9.

After Lupita Nyong’o read the Black Panther script for the first time, she workshopped it with director Ryan Coogler because they were both “very keen for [Nakia] to be more than just the love interest…[and] wanted her to have her own agency, to occupy her own space, as well as, of course, to support T’Challa.”

“One of the things we worked on was making her part and parcel of the main argument of the story, about whether to keep the borders open,” Nyong’o told the Hollywood Reporter.

10.

Evangeline Lilly joined the Ant-Man cast as Hope van Dyne/Wasp after writer/director Edgar Wright left the project but before his script was fully rewritten, so she “got a chance to sort of say, ‘Hey, why don’t you beef up my character and give her a really full arc?'”

“All the suggestions that I put forward and the things that I would ask for, like, ‘What about this?’ or ‘We can do this with her,’ [Marvel was] very amenable to it and they were very open to it. And then they would take it even farther,” she told Collider.

Marvel Studios / Via youtube.com

She continued, “They would go away, and they could come back to me and say, ‘Oh, we’ve really done something incredible with Hope.’ I kind of got lucky. I started out thinking I was walking into a film playing a supporting character. It’s now become a trifecta with myself and Michael Douglas and Paul Rudd.”

11.

When Tom Holland was filming the big finale for Spider-Man: No Way Home, he “kept stopping and being like, ‘I’m so sorry, I just don’t believe what I’m saying.'”

So, director Jon Watts pulled him aside, and they agreed the scene was wrong.

“We sat down, we went through it, and we came up with a new idea. Then we pitched it to the writers, they rewrote it, and it works great,” Holland told GQ.

12.

Samuel L. Jackson has “been doing Nick Fury for so long, [he knows] what he sounds like and…how he thinks and how he feels” — so he often helps Marvel screenwriters get his character’s voice down.

“There are times, when I’m in the midst of doing or studying the lines for the next day or the scene that we’re doing, that I can tell, ‘The writer knows what he wants to say, but he hadn’t said it, so let me help,’ and I’ll write it,” he told Collider.

“The next day when I go in, I’ll pull that person to the side and say, ‘Look, I know you wrote this, but this is a better way to say that as Nick Fury,’ and they’ll go, ‘Oh my God. Well, you’re Nick Fury, so yeah,'” he said.

13.

In the original version of the Black Widow scene where Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian tries to comfort Yelena Belova, he was supposed to simply say something then leave after she told him to get out — but David Harbour wanted to make it more profound.

He told Insider that he said, “Wouldn’t it be interesting if back in America when she was little and was terrified, having been taken from her family, the Red Guardian would put her in the car and drive around and play ‘American Pie’? So from then on, she tells daddy to put in the tape.”

He continued, “So for this bedroom scene, I’m thinking, he’s a failure as a father, what can he do at the end of this scene?’ This narcissist who also has a big heart. And so he brings up the song, basically as him saying, ‘I tried.'”

14.

Florence Pugh “really wanted Yelena to be odd and strange and have weird timing and to fight awesomely.”

Director Cate Shortland allowed her to “think freely, to create this character and to make her as weird as [Pugh] wanted her to [be].”

Marvel Studios / Via youtube.com

Pugh told Indianexpress.com, “I was really excited by the possibility of making a new silhouette of a woman in the MCU. There was potential to create new conversations, have new stories, and make new moments for women.”

15.

And finally, Chris Evans was initially hesitant to accept the lead role in Captain America: The First Avenger, and when he finally joined the cast, he “was very conscious of not wanting snark.”

Marvel Studios / Via youtube.com

Screenwriter Christopher Markus told Yahoo, “It was a very good understanding of Captain America, which is that if this guy’s going to fly as a character and as an authority figure, eventually, he’s got to have the gravity right away, no matter what the situation.”

His understanding of Captain America helped the screenwriters realize “that Steve Rogers was born Captain America, he just didn’t have the body.”

He also “may have taken a joke or two out” of the script.

Blac Chyna Shares That She Celebrated Her Birthday By Getting Baptized

Published

on

Within the last few weeks, Blac Chyna has taken a legal beating, courtesy of her being mercilessly defeated by the Kardashian-Jenner clan—but it appears that now she is attempting a fresh outlook on life. Following her recent birthday, Blac Chyna revealed that she celebrated another year of life by officially getting baptized.

Taking to Instagram, Blac Chyna shared a video with her fans confirming that she rang in her 34th birthday by getting baptized and giving her life over to Christ. In the short video clip, which shows Chyna being fully submerged in a pool of water while her friends and family look on, she also added a caption detailing what the religious act means for her. “Born again on my Birthday [praying hands emoji] 5/11/22 #newbeginnings,” she wrote.

In addition to losing her $100 million-dollar lawsuit against the Kardashian-Jenner family, Blac Chyna is also facing other legal issues, specifically a recent alleged assault.

As we reported earlier this month, Chyna allegedly assaulted a woman named Sequoya King by kicking her in the stomach.  According to the Los Angeles Police Department, King filed a battery report that is currently under investigation.

King claimed that while at an L.A. bar, Blac Chyna was upset because she believed people were filming her and singled King out. Things then took a turn when Chyna allegedly took the woman’s phone from her hand and slammed it on the floor.

Afterward, Sequoya King says Chyna charged at her and kicked her in the stomach. At this point, Chyna’s friends reportedly removed her from the situation and ushered her into a car.

Fourtee’s “Hustle” To Make It Out Of The Struggle Leads Him To Major Success

Published

Achieving success in the music industry can be a tough journey to pursue. It was even more challenging in the world before digital media, where an artist had to go through tons of barriers to get into the mainstream. Thankfully, expansive social media usage has made it easier for artists to showcase their talents to the world. You can share your musical works on social media and gain much-deserved attention, paving your path to success. Transitioning from one niche to the other within the creative industry has also never been easier. However, you also need to be musically talented and passionate about the craft.

Mohamed Rashid, aka Chatmo, is a fast-rising musical talent making a name for himself in the industry. He is a classic example of a successful content creator turned artist doing exceptionally well in his new niche. Chatmo is a renowned YouTuber and music producer with vast experience in the industry. The 21-year-old hip-hop producer is also known for his unparalleled work ethic, evident throughout his projects.

Chatmo has mastered the art of conceptualizing his music and delivering the right message. His tunes offer a variety of sounds that flow together in an unusual yet joyful way. Chatmo has produced an incomparable music style through his originality, self-expression, and wit, which appears to be appreciated even outside his home country of the Netherlands’ borders. The number of streams of this music is incredible, and he finds it quite inspiring to see the reactions he gets from his work.

In 2020, Chatmo was nominated as the ‘Best Talent’ by the Dutch Stream Awards, a nomination that helped cement his position in the game. Though he ended up in second place, Chatmo considers it a significant milestone and one that introduced his music to a more diverse audience.

Chatmo has already received another nomination in 2022 as ‘Best Gamer’ by The Best Social Awards. This award show is still ongoing, so the winner has yet to be determined.

“I’m actually not a gamer, but in addition to my well-known YouTube career and music career, I occasionally play a game on YouTube. I’m known for my funny, entertaining YouTube videos, but the beats show a different (more serious) side of me. Normally I’m known as that guy on the internet. I am convinced that if you believe in something, you can achieve it too. Perhaps one of the most standard things said by famous people, but it’s true,” Chatmo explains.

Though he has faced numerous challenges, Chatmo terms his biggest challenge to have been convincing himself that he could create great music.

“I have been making music from an early age, inspired by my friends around me. I didn’t take my music seriously at the time; I did it for fun and not for work. Nowadays, I can inspire many young people who watch my YouTube videos and listen to my music,” says Chatmo.

Over the next five years, Chatmo wants to accomplish a lot more in his music career. Working in collaboration with other great musicians is something he’d love to do. This is part of his strategy to reach a wider audience with his songs. Chatmo also hopes to encourage others by releasing more uplifting songs.
